The price of the Rio was 620 SEK in 1956 and 680 SEK a year later. The Rio differs from the Rio II only in that it does not have a register mechanism.
Beronius & Co started making accordions in 1951. They included Nils Beronius, Erik Bäkström, Lars Finn, Erik Johansson and Lennart Södersten. The production was originally carried out in-house. Beronius did the woodwork in Västäng. Other work was largely done at Näset, where Finn assembled the machinery, Johansson did the metalwork and brothers Ragnar and Anders Johansson made the bellows. The actual accordion factory was built in Näset in 1955 and employed at most 15 people. The company closed in 1958. (Source: Bo Nyberg)
