The Castelfidardo accordion is built using a the model. It is made in a 5:1 scale.
Other large accordions have been made. The difference with the big accordion in the Musikinstrumentenmuseum Markneukirchen in Germany is that this instrument is structured like one big accordion. The accordion in the Markneukirchen Museum, on the other hand, is having mechanisms of three (or four?) accordions built into a single body.
The Castelfidardo accordion was built between 2000 and 2001, about two years. More than 1,000 working hours have been spent on the accordion. This accordion is preserved in Castelfidardo at the Paolo Soprano Palace.
