There are two register switches on the back side of the treble handle and one on the bass.
Ragnar Sundquist (7.2.1892 – 1951) was not only accordion manufacturer, but also a skilled player. He was the Swedish champion from 1911. He could play both accordion types, piano accordion and button accordion. He actually survived the Titanic accident because of accordion. In 1912 he was going to visit his brother Hugo in New York and got a cabin from deck D witch was in the lower part of the ship. He didn’t like this because he was an accordion artist and demanded a change of trip to Olympic, the sister ship of the Titanic, and thus he was saved from almost certain death. On the same trip, ‘Ragge’ got to know Frosini.
Raggie accordions have two brand names, both of which have been Ragnar Sundquist’s brands. Raggie Special is manufactured in Stockholm, Sweden and Raggie in Italy.
Cupol accordions are the descendants of Ragnar Sundquist’s accordion factory in their own way. When the Sundquist factory was closed in early 1947, Cupol acquired the factory’s estate.
