In the early 20th century, Joseph Giustozzi began to delve into the world of accordions. He had worked with Settimio Soprani. The first Giustozzi accordion dates back to 1924 and is now displayed in the Castelfidardo Accordion Museum. Jospeh’s accordion enthusiasm also grabbed this sons Louis and Egisto. They decided to set up their own company in 1946.
However, there are differences in sources. Most likely, Luigi Giustozzi started his accordion company in Castelfidardo in 1938. The successor to this company was Giustozzi & Bompezzo (1950 – 1985). Alberto Giustozzi continued his work in 1978 (Giustozzi di Giuestozzi Alberto) and then Giampiero Giustozzi.
When Giampiero was young, he was a substitute for employees. It was only after graduating as an accountant that running the business became topical. He helped his father until 2007, when Alberto died. Giampiero then became the owner of the company. In the 2010’s, the company’s main products have been in the piano accordions, diatonic accordions and chromatic accordions. The company’s current name is Giustozzi accordions.
